Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva—Great Vow Bodhisattva

Because of his vow to not achieve Buddhahood until “all the Hells are empty,” Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is often referred to as the Bodhisattva of the Hell Beings. But his vow actually encompasses all sentient beings.
